Okay, so I didn't send a newsletter in May, but good things come to those who wait, right?
Hi there! You know what I love about self-publishing? I set my deadlines. You know what I hate about self-publishing? I set my deadlines, so I only have myself to blame when I don’t meet them.

The plan was to finish doing the first round of revisions for Book 2 by the end of May, so that I could send it to my alpha readers. However, we (as in me, myself, and I) are a little behind since I’m just about to wrap up this round of revisions this weekend. When I look back at the timeline for book one, I can't help but feel like I am even further behind than I think I am. However, the truth of the matter is that I think book 2 is in a much better place than book 1 was at this point. Half of that book had to get overhauled due to some major plot changes. Therefore, while I still need to write a couple of smaller scenes here and there for book 2 and do some more character development, the bones are good. The bones are solid.
Recent & Current Reads

I just finished The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent. And, can we talk about that ending?? So many feelings right now. In theory, my next should be the second book in the series. However, it's not. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros has been all over my social media feeds. I'm only three chapters in, but I'm really enjoying it so far! Have you read either of these books yet?
And what we've all been waiting for...

Book 2 of the Of Fire and Lies series has been such a fun and challenging story to write! One would think a sequel would be easier; however, this book has shifted and changed so many times since I began writing it in November of 2022.

Haven't read the first book in the series yet? The King's Weapon is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Kindle Unlimited! There are also a couple of signed copies left on my Etsy shop here.
